BlueStacks Announces Windows 8 Compatibility

 

OEMs to release BlueStacks-enabled Windows 8 tablets and Ultrabooks.

CAMPBELL, CA – January 10, 2012 – BlueStacks announced today that its “App Player” software, which runs mobile apps natively on PCs and tablets, is now compatible with Windows 8. The company demonstrated the technology on a Windows 8 Ultrabook at CES today with reporters.

Windows 8 is Microsoft’s first operating system built with mobility in mind, using the new “Metro” user interface. BlueStacks will integrate over 400,000 Android apps seamlessly into the operating system, where they will take the form of tiles alongside other programs. “The Metro UI is beautiful, but the number one thing Windows 8 is missing is apps,” noted BlueStacks CEO Rosen Sharma. “This changes all that.” BlueStacks makes creating mobile apps for the Windows 8 platform unnecessary, as most every app built for Android will now run on Windows 8 without any porting. The software will support both standard desktop and Metro UI modes.

BlueStacks is actively collaborating with top PC manufacturers to pre-load the BlueStacks App Player on Ultrabooks, tablets, notebooks and all-in-one desktop PCs. Their newest in a series of OEM partnerships is one with the Taiwanese manufacturer InHon. Inhon plans to release its first Ultrabook in March 2012 with BlueStacks App Player pre-loaded, followed by a Windows 8 Ultrabook later this year. “So many of the applications that people want to use have moved to mobile platforms,” said InHon CEO HongFan Wei from Taiwan. “We’re excited to be first to market with a Windows 8 Ultrabook that combines the best apps from both worlds.”

BlueStacks was named a CES Innovations winner for 2012 at the conference this week. It is the only program worldwide that can run native mobile applications that are ARM-based or x86, windowed or fullscreen, on Windows PCs and tablets.

I also got a copy of Cod MW3 for myself off eBay last week and funny thing, Scott one the guys in my gaming guild got me a copy as well on steam. So I’m handing off the retail copy I’m getting to my co-worker who got me the 60 gig drive and memory and we’re square. Cod MW3 is actually fun, just wished I could hit the broader side of the barn. We’re also seriously considering dropping Cable TV and upping the internet speed and doing Hulu plus and Crackle for TV time, I mean spending 1**.00 + on Cable and Internet is a bit much and if you have a Blu-ray or a Gaming console with wireless as an option why wouldn’t you just drop cable and go internet? YOU LOVE GAINT MECHA ACTION! This is Gundam. MS Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory was the first Gundam feature with action sequences, a stable budget, which sat a high rank topped by only by the conclusion to the UC story, Char’s Counterattack. I can say certainly that is pretty slick, and with fortitude to take it to the bank. Beautiful mecha layouts and design schematics. The well-polished and the intelligence that is reflected in Anavel Gato, the Nightmare of Solomon, was the first of his kind to truly give us a reason to root for the bad guy (Like Anakin didn’t do that in Star wars).

Enter Anavel Gato, Nightmare of Solomon, 2^nd from the zeon roster next to The Great Char Aznable. Azabael, had his turn with the throwing a monkey wrench into the gears of the earth federation gearbox Operation Stardust is the next plan and earth is the theater, where Gato plans to hijack a top secret Gundam Designated as the GP02 with a nuclear payload added. There are 13 eps, not going to spoil the surprise, which would be rather rude.

 The Federation is weak handed and does not take of the mantle of Power and Glory. Anavel Gato is your new found sovereign and lord, and a tactical nuke to back up what he says. Push him I dare you to force his hand and show you the true might of Zeon. Of course there is Kou

The Plotline

The Historical here is Circa 0083 is the 3^rd Gundam series in actual chronological order, and the 2nd major one, the 1st and through the 0080 OVAs had 2 stories within the same wartime frame. Stardust Memory starts 3 years and change since the Antarctic treaty; Zeon sued for peace and ended the quest for orbital dominance.

Now while during this stage of Gundam and the series’ development. Lemmy Kilminster explained his hobby of collecting WW2 German Nazi memorabilia and that the bad guys always get the best stuff because you know they’ll be the ones to lose the most. Such as khaki uniforms wi/ kangaroos insignias on the shoulder plates vs. gold eagle emblems and short pleated capes. Generic designed Mobile suits vs.  Zeon issues Zakus and with the Dom. Sheer.

Now, if you’ll take notice, the canon, Giren Zabi was an overzealous upstart of a leader and with the Zeon already guilty of murdering billions of people on the 1^st day of the 1Year War. The Zeon put Kou Uraki through the ringer when he attempts to engage them throughout the series. The battles between Kou and Gato are also well orchestrated and designed I love the animation and character creation and the interaction between the cast and the main characters and the mini plots the whole love hate relations that Kou, Nina, and Gato have. Overall this gets an 8.9 out of 10 ranking from me.

Being able to allow Debt collectors or worse Telemarketers to call you regardless of the Do not Call registry using a blanket saying it’s for informational pruposes is a bunch o crap and the ones that thought it up should be the one the few that against should be shoved and placed against the firing squad wall when the revolution hits. I’ve had that debt collector call hounding my house phone for 4 months and didn’t stop till a threatened them with a lawsuit for breaking the do not call act, atfter being told repeatedly “NO ONE BY THE NAME LIVES HERE GASASS QUIT CALLING!”.

The “Nazi” German army’s secret intelligence division/order known as the “Ahnenerbe” which was reputed for its research and procurement of ancient religious artifacts and the anthropological history of the Aryan race, which was a front for the order to practice and make use of said artifacts in hopes of winning the war through black magic and other occult practices.

The story is based mostly around Nadya and her ability to seer into the near future and what she sees is Russia losing to The Nazi invasion through the use of Black magic and Necromancy to rise Baron Von Wolff one of Der Deutsche Orden /The Teutonic Knights of St Mary and use him and his fallen knights against The Red Army’s front lines in what is known as one the “Moments of Truth” where the dead can come back push through the veil that separates our two worlds and can alter the true path of how the human race travels upon through history.

However we find that Nayda is the only one who by use of “Sputnik-01” (I didn’t name it!) a explorative device where one strapped into and with the proper dosage of chemical X could travel to the other side. She is given the task of finding the 4 other members of her squad while there to convince them to help Mother Russia’s Army and to defeat The Baron Von Wolff and his minions.

Will this end in naught? I know and I will not ruin it for you, all I will say is that it is one for the collectors out there for those into alternate histories of alternate or parallel earths. The Movie brought to you By Molot Ent. And Studio 4°C. Definitely worth every dollar spent.

if this is true? I am so all over this like tuna on a trisket. meeeeeow! hey! This is something to look forward to entertainment wise. I for one have ALWAYS loved Red Dwarf and was saddened back at its end run, but now WOO! How many else like Red Dwarf? Speak up!

Ok, so another great weekend of SWTOR. reached level 11, got my lightsaber, got T7 got to Corusant and was able to complete like 5 of the quests I could before the servers shut down for the data gathering. All in all this MMO is one the very few I’d consider actually paying a year in advance to play on regular basis. The worlds were designed quite well especially the High tech ones. There was even a seperatist battle going on one the other worlds beach side. again this just further reinforces my opinion that this will be the Killer that puts Star Wars Galaxies into Carbonite and launched into deep space.

I honestly don’t do many MMO’s at all save for maybe Champions, City of Heroes and DC Universe (THERE IS NO PATTERN HERE ). But SWTOR had a good storyline for the beta. I got the droid, I found a datacron, was able to build up to level 10 at the end of the beta, which I didn’t think I was going to be able to do. Delivered a Flesh raider to the Jedi Counsel for training defeated 2 Millinea old droids, rode an ancient scout speeder. Learnt many ways of the force and a bit of the Force Wars from the ancient times on Tython and even explored the necropolis under the jedi temple near the forge.

Graphics were great, the gameplay smooth, lag barely any at all. Had one glitch and was able to correct it by hitting my inventory key of all things and back to normal after closing it. There is a bountiful fountain of knowledge for Both Jedi and Sith alike. Be careful how you tread try to keep on the path of light and not turn to the dark side, choice there are careful be you shall. I’ll post the pics I made at the last two levels near the end.

Seriously and I say this in all earnest, get this game. If you’re a star wars fan that plays WoW alot you’ll end up switching your account funds to SWTOR. This was a great game and Thanks to Bioware for Inviting me and My friend Bruce on the opportunity to take part on this weekend only event.
