This is the 1st entry for the year. Christmas came and went, kids got what they wanted the wife got what she wanted. I got a Wacom 460 Tablet and 2 steam games from bros I know on steam and off the the game grid. Suffered through Christmas to the following Monday in bed due to someone or thing giving me that stupid $!@#! Flu bug, even now I still have a tiny touch of it.
Was able to buy 2 dressers from Ikea and build them and haul them up to the bedroom which is in dire need of them. It also allowed me to see how many t-shirts I had. Cripes I did n’t realize how many I actually had, so decided to go through and donate what I did n’t want and keep those I liked. My anime t-shirts are pretty old (Circa 1992) so those I am keeping and will have them stitched into a quilt of sorts.
I also trimmed out a few people in my life I just did not need nor want to be involved with any more. You just get to a point where certain actions just rub you the entirely wrong way and you just want to strangle them and dump them by roadside. With that said I will more or less be getting some message privately somewhere from someone because they think I am directly calling them out, which isn’t the case. They were nto the only ones so they shouldn’t feel special in that regard at all. Oh and I re-installed steam and and seems it sent out invites to people I no longer have contact with and also no longer want to talk with me for whatever reasons involved. Which is fine, that’s their choice and I can live with that.
Girl Scout Cookie Sales go live Jan 17th and got the troops rallied and ready to strike out for cookie sales. Setup of the media center for the master bedroom is almost complete, I just have to set the Media PC and hook it to the TV properly and set right HDMI port and I should be able to play what we want on the TV from the media center and even play on Steam as well with my other steam user account.
Been watching #Kemeko-DX a 12 Ep. Series Harem Genre and have to say it is pretty hilarious. Just check the opening and you decide. Leave a comment down below if you’ve seen it as well, I will say if you’re blue and need a laugh ? This is one for that funny bone. 😉
The Cute Girl Network, what can I say but wow both in a bad and good way (I guess).Greg means did write an excellent if not (anger igniting) story. I was indeed hooked into it but not for the reasons you might think. This is a love story btw two people but the historical background history on the lead male character is what made me angry with regards to the story.
Enter Jack, a nice guy. He is a bit forgetful, sometimes clumsy and even slightly awkward with some small sense of tact upon him. He truly is a nice guy, and in my opinion he got the dirty end of the stick in a few of his past romantic/relationship encounters.
Enter Jane, new girl in town. Has a friend she roommates with a few other girls, has a job at one the local skate shops (In hopes of bringing in more of a female clientele to the shop). Who happens to bump into Jack and seems to have some sparks and chemistry ensue. The budding possible relationship starts to unfold.
Then the whole thing falls to shit and chaos. How pray tell? Well while Jane was on her way to work and stopping by Jack’s Soup Cart to pick up a bite to eat one of her roomies shows up and Notices Jack and greets him rather rudely Jack responds defensively with a simple hello. Jane notices this and Nikki one of several roomies explains that She and Jack had once dated and to stay away that he was trouble.
Jane was taken aback by this due to the time she has already spent with Jack. She says he’s harmless but Nikki insists that he is trouble and that she will prove it by Exposing Jack to Jane through “The Cute Girl Network” some network of the local female populace that seem to look out for one and other by keeping tabs on the local male populace and whether or not these women have interacted with any of these males. Jack being one of the males, Jane is taken to several meetings where 90% of ex-girlfriends totally ripped on Jack due to his quirks and what some would call inadequacies, one of the ex’s who was also another one of the roomies of Jane’s stated “HE’S NOT RIGHT FOR ANYBOSY! He should be sent away to some wayward home for dipshit boys where he can make wicker baskets all day and not bother anyone!
That isn’t the only incident either, several of his ex-‘s trash talked him made him look to be some type of asshole, which wasn’t even the case. One of ex-‘s did state that even though they broke up due to him causing her to lose her job, she did get a job with her roommate at the coffee shop her roomie worked at, with the slightly better pay and less stress and an enjoyable environment and in that instance he had done he a great solid, even though they weren’t going out anymore.
Yes there is an eventual Happy Ending on this graphic novel, but roughly 85% of it is the trash talking about how bad a person jack is to Jane like she needs protecting or something. She even admitted herself she was no prize either and that she has had her fair share of messing things up as well. That’s what life is about experiences good as well as bad and no matter what someone says to you? You sometimes just have to experience it yourself to understand.
At the end Jane chooses Jack, explains that she likes him for who he is. Later Jane and Jack are sitting and Jane is talking with Jack about the ex-‘s and he tells her what seems to be more logical of a scenario that what 90% of what was said about the relationships/encounters. Jane and Jack date they go to the zoo and that’s basically where it leaves off at the end, them watching some Monkeys doing it in the habitat.
My opinion was even though it was a good story there was a lot of trashing about the male lead it almost seems like bullying Jane and Jack about their relationship and you just can’t go and do something like that, it’s not fair to them and its degrading yourself to stoop to that type of level of immaturity
Ok, so this really cheesed my crackers and toast. I read this on Facebook last night and was appalled at what I read. A student at High School get assaulted for showing up at school on a Friday in what I am presuming is one of their favorite Cosplay characters (Grell from Black Butler) to help assist in a production some of their friends had been planning on for a few weeks or more.
They was in the hallway between classes while talking to some friends and felt a tug at their wig and turned around to ask that the person refrain from tugging since hair pieces can be difficult position back into place. What happened however was incredibly stupid and completely uncalled for. They was attacked outright, no provocation, no known previous history between these two students yet they’re attacking someone who was helping out some they friends for again a production they were playing and needed they character from what I am getting.
I’d like to know why? Bottom line is they shouldn’t have laid a finger on they, regardless of whom they was cosplayed as or who they as themselves what did they do? OH MY GAWD they’re a cosplayer! Pffffft they were more or less bullied and assaulted for their style of life and how they come across to some. Well that is them not they and they need to get their heads out of their asses. Why did this student attack them? That’s the real question, but if I were in their shoes, I would be pressing charges; also what about the medical expenses will the attacker’s parents take responsibility for their daughter’s actions? If this goes to court, I can say who has a better chance at winning this.
The fact that kids these days can get away with bullying is beyond me. Had I done something like that to someone, not only would I have met my closet doors with new found respect of being able to hold up under the velocity my father or mother would have sent me thru at them? But also the time I could have spent in Juvenile Detention back then. I don’t blame the attacker’s parents per say, but maybe JUST maybe they needs some “re-education” on how to treat others and be a bit more respectful towards them. *Update* here are some of comments the asshat based students of said school posted on facebook.

You wonder why some of these kids go off the deep end and going off on these killings sprees at their schools, note what I am saying “their schools”. I’m not saying all of them are like this but people wonder why some of these kids do what they do. Here is a prime example, of it. It doesn’t or at least “shouldn’t” matter if you’re transgendered, transsexual, a cross dresser or from The Horsehead Nebula. Bullying will break down someone, harassment leads to violent behavior and attitudes, for the parents out there reading this? Take a look at your children’s friends, who they’re hanging out with, what they’re doing on their spare time? Don’t think you kid is guilty of it? Check again, look out for signs.
This was just one out billion that will get be seen out there in some form of media or another and can could be tagged as a hate crime, bullying, sexual harassment YES *sexual harassment* and a number of other tags out there. Speedy recovery, and more cosplay, maybe we’ll even see you at one of our anime conventions here in Utah.
I’m back from #FanX and it was for the most part really cool as an event. I worked about 2/3rd of it at my group’s Booth site #ErtGB . I did however get to do the following things which may be a small and hollow victory but I guess I will have to take it. But here are the following things I did get a chance to do while there.
Spend time with my wife admiring the vendors and celebrities that were there.
Get Michael Stackpole’s Autograph in my copy of Wolf and Rain. One of my Fave Shadowrun Novels and a photo as well with him too boot!
My Wife and I love The Crow, we have a print by James O’Barr entitled “Absolution” which he signed back in 1994 on the eve of our Wedding, 20 years later 2 states away at #FanX who is there at #fanX none other than the man himself and at his first Utah Convention! What surprised us was he remembered us, and was more than happy to sign the print again with a 20 year signature and I got another great photo with James O’Barr himself.
I did also procure a copy of #MagneticByNature for steam by one the local game studios at the University of Utah #Tripleslashstudios those guys just rock and we’re hoping to have them on the podcast again soon or at least before #Saltlakecitycomicon 😉 .
What I didn’t get to do while I was at #FanX because of certain obligations it seemed and also missed events.

Speaking of Cosplay, the cosplay contest was very cool and our own “Utah Loki of Asgard” Aaron was there as one of the judges (You locals will know of who I speak for the #AnimeSaltLake and #AnimeBanzai Peeps crowd). I loved the Suckerpunch Samurai crew that was there I even got to take two pics afterwards of them. They say they will be going to #AnimeBanzai as well this year, especially with it being the 10 Year Anniversary of #AnimeBanzai.

Hello, just peeking in and letting you know yea I’m still alive (too bad for some of you out there,) and working. Just an update on my daughter, who is recovering quite well after the surgery, she doesn’t seem to mind the soft foods regiment that she’s been placed on. She still gets a dull ache from time to time but otherwise fit as a fiddle. Her and her sister both had High School orientation last night and had a great time at that. They seem interested in the intro to technology, with the architecture class as well.
I did just get my Unreal 4 Subscription for Beta testing Rocket aka Unreal 4 Beta Engine. Me and Bruce and hopefully Sean will be getting into this full swing here coming up summer wise and will finally have some video and progressive videos out there for the project. I found a spiffy KVM switch for $ 2.00 from Belkin and it works great only drawback is the USB to PS2 adapter doesn’t want to play nice keyboard wise, so I am stick on an old P.O.S HP Keyboard. I now have a Linux Box and a Windows 7 Box running in conjunction with each other off a dual monitor setup.
We are just 2 days away from #FanX , Bruce is driving out for this event and so is the family it seems as well. I’m hoping to get an Autograph or photo op with Karen Gillian or Julie Benz, since they are two of my favorite actresses as of current. I will also be heading up to the Salt Palace to help setup the booth and green screen Wednesday night if the team needs me. No word yet on whether my cohort in gaming and podcast joining us at #FanX . I’m hopeful because it will be a chance to meet face to face for a change at an event as a team.
Anyways, back to work for me more hours needing to be generated.
Hey so, yeah, it’s been an odd 1st month for 2014. I had a double root canal; I was appointed the social media representative for the Ghostbusters fan group E.R.T – Experimental Research Team. It’s a global fan group where fans of the Ghostbusters Franchise setup outside the circle of the traditional Ghostbusters gear like the Proton Packs, The PKE Meters, and the Ectospectrum Analysis as well as the Spector Detector and Proton gun, and ecto-googles.
There are also new entries now being made to Tobin’s Spirit guide since new species of ectoplasmatic variations have been discovered and documented. So, we’ve reopened the fan page social media wise on FaceBook, Google Plus and Twitter. So if you are a fan? Come check us out!
We also do lots of volunteer work in the Salt Lake and Utah County areas. Zombie Prom, making sure the zombies and humans alike are Hydrated, apply 1st aid if needed, we also help out the local Salt Lake City Food Bank to help those in need. Last year at The 1st Salt Lake City Comicon we raised over 900+ dollars for the Zombie Prom’s Charity Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, there is also the rubber duck derby, we take part in the county haunted houses at various locations during the Halloween Season.
Back to topic, I also did what I set out to do for my wife’s Birthday this year. During last year as fore mentioned I went to the 1st Salt Lake Comicon. I got to go because I am a member of E.R.T and I jump in and try to help where I can when I can during events that the group is invited to. My wife didn’t get a chance to go and also missed an opportunity to meet some of the actors from Doctor Who, Walking Dead, BattleStar Galatica and Star trek and Star Wars as well as Adam West and Bruce Ward THE Original Batman and Robin.
SO I told her this year she would get to go it with us one way or another and I came thru on that with winning one pass to The Salt Lake City Comic con sponsored “FanXperince” in April where there is going to be plenty of Walking Dead cast and a plethora of actors and actresses from various Movies/Series that we all love and admire. I won that on Google Plus by helping spreading public relations and letting people know that it is an event not to be missed!
Also checked out a few animes I’ve been meaning to get around to watching and reviewing as well. Onto this month’s review, this boy can fight Aliens DVD; it’s from the Sentai Networks and the ComixWave Films Studio. This is indeed a BL (Boy love) inspired anime about a young boy named Kakashi, Another young boy who is on the Global Defense Staff and Kakashi’s Commander Shiro and how Kakashi is saving the world from Aliens by fighting them by himself everyday it seems, but his motivation seems to be wavering and starts to question himself as to why he’s doing it and who is it he’s actually saving?
This DVD also has three other film “shorts” that are on the BL side of things but do indeed have an emotional affect on you. If you enjoy BL (Yaio not Hentai or Ecchi) Manga and Anime, this is one for you and I give it 8.5 out of 10 for emotional reaction, decent voice acting cast and creative animation technique they used for these anime shorts. This including the voice talents of such voice actors like Chris Patton who voiced Natsu in Robotica Robotics.

Been hearing there are some out there talking smack about me behind my back, I know this will get back to you and I really don’t care for it either. I won’t drop names just be aware I do still come by from time to time to see what the goings on are about and I do see assumptions being made. Bottom line is you need to get over yourselves and cont. on doing something constructive rather than debate on whether or not I have “infiltrated” as a sock into your community, not only has it got old, it shows how paranoidal you actually are of me. Leave me name outta your mouths and conversations, rumors are like asses everybody got em don’t need to flaunt them, plain and simple.
I mentioned to one the admins/moderators that I might want to active my account and roam the board, not as anyone else but just the same old name I’ve used for more than ten years. Then after consideration and also finding out the other admin had purged the spambots and any other actual real people out of the members activation cue that it would be rather pointless and just lead to more shit flinging and me getting angry at the usual perpetrators and change my password and walk off again in a huff with me giving you the single finger salute on the way out and rant about again for a number of months then get over it and moving on, so I just relied saying I’d rather not and just assume to not care as much but enough to keep tabs every so often.
Anyways, with that out there and congrats again to my friend #Brentlengel for his radio show may it reign for years to come? Controversy is always a key knowledge and power.

Hey what’s going on peeps? Looks like I am employed again after all, I start Monday at software firm not far from the house either. I’ve got the repairs and formatting done on this Dell 8300 that was given to me a week ago. I am looking at a replacement side panel for the case the right hand side seems to have all the clips tweaked off. It’s nothing too hard to resolve.
Here is a real pisser for you to laugh at or to be like “wow, just wow” to. So, a person I admire asked a group I am a part of to help them out by giving them some feedback on what we as consumers would like to see on a re-release of a product, and what type of cool swag we’d want to see to be included. They also requested us to be quite about it with a hyper low profile as well. I for the most part kept quiet about it but some little twatwaffle decided to start posting it up on their FB profiles and ruin it for everyone.
I took the blame for this because when we we’re asked “Can you keep a secret?” I should have closed the group’s public access viewing right then and there but I had other stuff going on at that time as well so I posted sure can, and left to go do what was needing to be done, but forgot to set the privacy settings to the group and that falls on me, it also falls on me to try to do damage control which I failed at horribly when I saw the damage done this afternoon.
When I replied to the offending article, and stated that it was supposed to have been a private project in the works, my post vanished soon after, and someone who I thought was a friend and fellow podcaster ended up talking with this guy saying OH if you got a msg from so & so, don’t worry he’s a “nobody” . Well this nobody has heard his “fair weather” friend had been talking shit about him behind his back a few times, but now this just confirmed it being true. The thing that really hurts was if the roles had been reversed? I would have been there for him defending him. So, I’ve basically killed all contact with him, Facebook, The AoY Podcast, WP, Twitter and Google plus and email have been disconnected/blocked/muted because I don’t deal/associate/socialize with backstabbing double talking sasafrasa 7^!$#!$*@ people like that.
I’m still going to give feedback, and make a few suggestions for the project, but we’re still also waiting for the kickstarter to be approved before we go further and announce the whole thing everywhere else. Just because other people want be assholes and twatwaffles doesn’t mean we have to follow suite. I am however disappointed at the attitudes some of us have in regards to this and how easily dismissive they were when the leak did come about. It makes one sad on how keeping someone’s word can be dismissed so easily.
So The Doctor is leaving us, my eldest daughter has graduated high school, a friend of mine has a new play hitting the New York Playhouse Scene, and Bruce’s phone has been disconnected, OMG! WTH is going on!? What happened! I need to boost the memory of the tower at home it seems for better performance and shorter compiling times. This should help with producing the podcast videos for the WordPress site. I am still needing someone with CSS plugin experience to lend a hand with installing the MP3 plugin I did find and seem to work on its own locally, but I do need assistance in installing on site wise.
Anime Banzai is at year nine and this is a milestone guest right here people, one of my favorite voice actresses/singers Ms. Mari Iijima who will be singing in her first ever Utah concert during Anime Banzai. I’m excited due to it being Mari Iijima and also because it’s due to 30 years of Macross which I grew up with as a teen in high school. Anime Banzai will also have Mr. Robert Atkins noted his work with being a Comic Penciler / Inker; for IDW, DC, Marvel, his graduate studies at the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2004, Robert Atkins has a an avid spreadsheet of experience within the comic industry. The most recent works include the penciling chores on IDW’s G.I. JOE series.
Other noted works of his also include stories for the Heroes online comic for NBC and Forgotten Realms for Devil’s Due Publishing, as well as Snake Eyes: Declassified. Mr. Atkins is also co-creating a series entitled Elders of the RuneStone, Quinn Johnson being the writer and known for his work involvement with TMNT, aand Scrapyard Detectives. confirmed for the guest list at this moment in the year.
I saw this and with my current state of body and mind you could have knocked me over with a dust mite. Seriously? I get the whole “You buy a pass to the COn, your image could be used for advertising/promotional images”. I’m all for that, BOOYA! When it comes to taking someone’s image however, both frontal and rear veiw and place them on a Body Pillow and make money on it w/o the consent of the cosplay/DA Member/Cosplay Prof. that’s not only creepy it’s illegal (Unless you are under contact or signed an photo release agreement of some sort and read the fine pint.) I can honestly see this dude that owns 2imagesolutions going to court and getting a heavy fine and paying people back and going out of business. I seriously doubt this guy thought everything through when he pulled this stunt. I mean seriouslly? Body Pillows of steampunk cosplayers, let alone maybe Megaman or the ilk? *Shudder*
Well this was indeed quite a surprise early this morning. I get a text message on my cel roughly about 5 am and I’m just waking up for my usually 5 hour nap. It seems one my friends in japan was at one the local manga shops and found what they call a light novel (Light casual reading like a paperback) sitting on the used books rack section. Well after checking this out, it seems to be a Bubblegum Crisis Novel released back April of 2012 so roughly just over a year ago. Now whether this had to do with Bubblegum Crisis Live Action” Cinema Movie has yet to be confirmed.
Bubblegum Crisis Hard Metal Guardian Angels is the title (Not sure if that’s the direct translation or not). This seems to be one of the slider versions of the BGC Universe. The 4 younger females that comprise of the Knight Sabers are in high school (What level/grade is unknown at the moment) and their identities are slightly askew such as Sylia Stingray is now one Ms. Sylia Sakakibara, who happens to have a slightly whizzed but battle experienced butler with a knowledgeable and sharp mindset. We also have another character identity change up Nene Romanova is now one Ms. Nene Rokuhara, who is looked after by her “Older Big Brother” Leon Rokuhara, who happens to be a Detective in the Metro Tokyo Anti Boomer Special Police Force.
Characters whose Identities and roles have not been too rewritten is Pricilla Asagiri, who is seems to have made a title for herself in the music industry at performing at a local night 16+ Music Club and having her performance uploaded to what would be considered our YouTube, becoming an overnight discovery and getting signed by a localized global media corporation. Yet she does still have to go to High School, and keep up with her studies. We also have Ms. Linna Yamazaki, who isn’t from the Japanese country side, but more to being the heir of a financial conglomerate while working at a maid café (to gain some experience in the working class of the world) she’s quite intelligent and resourceful.
My friend is looking into procuring this copy, but has not been able to locate an English edition of this paperback. He says its roughly 250 pages including some of the artwork. Which he will be sending as soon as he can get some of the artwork scanned in. I am hoping that someone will be looking into scanlating this for the global public and the BGC Fanbases out there. I know I am one of those wanting to read this yarn of the mind cybernetic.
