Another Comicon comes to a close. The sun sets on the san diego bay as the con attendees leave with thier bags filled of awesomesauce and the stuff that dreams are spun of. We bid the event a bon farewell to Yon Comicon.

Alas tis 15 yrs now and I still miss you as if it was the 1st yr I missed. I yearn for the smell of fresh ink being done for commisions, the roar of the attendees as they rush in for the freebies the con hands out to the crowds.

The board panels of artists and celebrities on new shows and showing art tutorials to improve our own styles and skills. I will return one year soon my beloved con of cons. Your long lost one will wnder back into your embrace and love.

Sircrazlot/Bev is a good friend of mine and an artist of extreme talent. I’m hoping to see her hit it big somehwere with her stories and universe she’s created. She’s got some very unique characters created and a humorous outlook for them as well. But she also has some well rounded and smart types as well. If you’re looking for someone to do a commision? She is definitely one person to consider for the job.

I am also involved with Global Agenda in hopes of also playing such a kick ass mmo3rdps. Rumored to be the Huxely killer and I can see it doing that if the trailers/teasers and artwork are true to thier style and art. I am uber excited to have a possiblity to take place in this beta.

Oh so in India as I speak The longest Solar eclipse for the 21st century starts. Taregna India is where everyone is meeting at to view this event. Also this will move north and east from india to nepal cand china BUT the scientific community says Taregna is the place to have the cleaest view if not for the onset of the monsoon season for that area of the country.

So much stuff going on in the world it just boogles the mind.

Games Video and Swapmeets and Harry Potter

Ok, as the title says Video Games. Me and Ronda decided to hit the event one of our fave grocery stores was having today for lunch for the kids. Well, at the same time in the same parking lot, a community swapmeet was going down and we had to hit it.

You can never tell what type of treasures you’ll find during a swapmeet. Prime example, I found a registerable edition of FEAR game for 2 bucks that and then later on and I am so happy about this one. I now have -every- “PC” Edition of the unreal series including UT2003 now. Seems the guy that had the old LAN Gaming store by our house had his wife there to sell the games he had used for his store. He wanted 10$ for the game used and in a semi ok box condition. I decided to go home come back with 4$ had her call him and I spoke with him on a gamer to gamer level. needless to say I have it and he has 4$. Overall this is turning out to be an ok day afterall.

Last night saw Harry Potter and well I will not ruin it for anyone else. I will just say I was personally disappointed being someone that read the books and such. There are just well I that is to say, to paraphrase …..OH BUGGERS ! I can’t say anymore than I was disappointed. Although those who are just following the movies and NOT reading the books will more or less enjpy the movie just fine.

Oo; Odd day

Smeggin hell, BOLLOCKS to video inverters. This has got to be either cords or soemthing odd with the case. Mainly because the video goes out on the laptop. I’ve gone thru 2 inverters on this Compaq Evo N800c unit. I love the little critter but dang it I want the thing to boot properly and with video.

Other than that, worked on the dishwasher again. Got the dishes taken care of and even did laundry and the repairs on my “Chainsaw Bob” t-shirt a artist/creator gave me back at the “94” comicon, glows in the dark and everything.

I might post it up tonite later on. In regards to a friend that lurks but “she” rarely leaves her name on here. I have a video/musical muse for you to be inspired with, or at least that is my intent.

I hope you enjoy it and allows you to find some of that creative mojo you have hidden again in there somewhere……

Slumps and bumps

Drawing slump, but its ok I’ve recently got some manga and american G/N’s to help stimulate the cortext of art. I’ve decided to check out I otaku again just because its is just that funny. That and SumomomoMomomo by Yen press, which is suprisingly funny. I’m actually finding myself searching the local library for Vol 2. so I can keep up with it. Might even try to do a strip of two with TF2 related stuff.

Speaking of which towlies smokeshack for TF2 is hilarous. You log in and its almost a nonstop troll-o-thon. Then again this is where I know some people from a certain community hang out and play on too. So I guess I have become accustomed to it. Doesn’t make it right though, I know there kids on there 11, 16 yrs of age and they have worse mouths than some military staff I know. Talk about some foul langauage, and you have stop and think about it?

Do they get it from thier enviroment, thier parents, thier peers? I mean seriously I doubt it comes from “just” gaming. But still and even then you have to ask or get down to thier level to make them understand “HEY SMACKTARD Jr. ! YOU LOOK LIKE A JERK STFU”. It just gets irritating plain and simple and now that I am off work I’m going home to listen to trolls and to shoot them profusly dead dead dead…….

if Adam Cheney and Peter Payne could see this. It’s one of Seishun Shitemasu’s better parodies. I loved Ranma 1/3 Notes from the closet. But Voltron hell bent for leather was just one of those cheek hurts laughter vids that you end up in tears from laughing so hard. Voltron Hell bent for Leather was done by Seishun Shitemasu’ the group SCAN’s anime club production guys. They were hilarous back in the day. I was hoping there wouold be more. Alas when Pete went to japan and opened up J-list that seemed to be the end of the wonderful parodies we’d experince from these guys. I rememeber and still love you guys! If any of you see this let me know…….

MechWarrior The Rebirthing

Yes, it’s true they are bringing back a classic with new life and vigor to the Clansphere. Mechwarrior is being recast for the future generation. I myself may in fact get this if for nothing else arching against some of my own archnemsises out there.

The one thing I caught watching the video was the mechs actually giving off heat and you can see the heat coming off the chassis and such. This might be in fact a new surge in MechWarrior/Battletech fandom. I think if anything lots of mecha fans will be excited for x-mas this yr. I’m kind of looking forward to it as well. Just take a look and judge for yourselves.

Antarctic-Press Yahoo Group “REINSTATED”

Seems that yahoo support finally saw the group’s status and how much porn and crap and junk there was on it. Mr. Richards, the founder of the http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Antarctic-Press/ group has been recently reinstated to his fomer postion and power. Being someone who did follow and petition the Yahoo Cust Srv and Abuse Division explaing the issues that were being caused and the impact of the links and verbage that were posted on there. I know kids know what google is and such and that anyone with a brain cel can search stuff. But that does not mean we should allow spambots and idiots who work for some company to spam groups and blogs with thier garbage and idiocity.

Mr. Richards saw fit in what I was trying to do and has appointed me a position in where now the group is not just Moderated by him alone. Nay, and LO the heavens parted and bestowed upon me was the position of Moderator as well for the group, in which I have immediately taken all spam and removed the offesive posts and banned thier users accounts from the group as well. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Ninja_High_School/ is also a group I would also highly recommend as well. being a group of well rounded otaku enriched with manga and anime knowledge not just in A/P but in all senses of anime and manga. It’s also been known to have Ben Dunn and Fred Perry grace the group with thier presense from time to time on rare occasions.
