1st snow of the yr on the wasatch east top range. Here you can see the snow lvl on the top of the peaks. Pretty nice sight from where I am sitting at work. Other than that, I’m taking a 2.5 day vacation to park city with the family. Should be quite eventful.

Cybertechnology strikes again, The guys at MiT are at it again! eyesight research thru cybernetic technology is on the run again. The reasearchers have invented a prototype that should be in production on a limited run for the test focus group.
Very cool aspects wih regards to this, the chipset will probablly be smaller by the time for testing is ready. according to the article this wil last up to ten yrs. But afterwards what will be the process for maintance so it will last another 10 yrs on top of that?
Using the person’s own eye and the technology the chipset will use electronic impulse signals to the optical nerve to be translated into visusal graphics. There will also be teh use of eyeglasses that will have a battery feed to the device. This may not restore 100 % sight, however it will restore sight in theory so far to a level where one can navigate without tripping over things and people and may very well be able to tell one person from another.
Again, shades of shadowrun/cyberpunk technology are at hand in the media again. I am glad to have survived this long so far myself. Maybe I’ll even be able to create something useful before I pass from this life to the next? One can hope can’t one?

In sadder news Cartoonist Youshihito Usui creator of Shinchan seen recently on Adultswim on cartoonetwork and Japanese newspapers and Manga Publications was found dead at Mount Arafune near the crossroads of Gunma and the Nagano prefectures 48 hrs ago. This seems to have been a Mountain Climbing accident since he was discovered at the base of one the mountain’s cliffs battered and bruised.
There was no suicide note in his gear or caming belongings nor at his residence. He did however inform his family that he was goign to take a mountian climbing trip back on the 11th of Sept. Police are sure he may have lost his footing during part of his climb. Truly an artist that will be missed bu otaku across the globe. To The Artist who brought a loveable asian scamp name Shinnosuke Nohara to life in the manga titled “Crayon Shinchan” we salute you and grief at the loss of such a creative person.
Been doing some reading as well and I have to say The Manga Anthology called Deja-Vu is a definite good read. I know its not “Robots & Spaceships” but rather Romance and Mythology and sci fi mixed into it. Where the author used the 4 seasons to help tell the story out of two people that meet up through out history thru reincarnation and doomed to be alone from each other in each meeting, OR do they? Needless to say, IF you have it at your local library?
Its on the Tokyopop publication label with clamp doing an afterword, art done by several well respected and known artists, Yang Kyung-il, Kim Tae-hyung, Byun Byung-jun, Park Sung-woo and Lee Vin with the Story being done by Youn In-wan. All political bullsh*t aside, I like rammstien, however thier latest video has some contraverse to say the least. A number of thier fans have spoken in regards to thier latest Music Video entitled -=P*ssy=- link will be witheld. I am a parent myself and would not want my kid watching it personally.
I’m just wondering why they would do something like that? To me it cheapens the image they have of themselves to thier fans. Its like a mini porno reel, was it just to get a piece of tail while filiming a new video and they thought *wtf* lets turn it into a porn and give the fans something to drop thier jaws on? I mean take this video for instance? Yea its done with footage from hellsgate london, BUT it also appeals to the teen scene as well as the older fanbases as well.
I don’t see why they couldn’t do something a little more towards that rather than a lewd “You got a p*ssy and got I ave a d**ka” song. Was it all just to get more attention and to be more controversial to the german fanbase and/or the global fanbases? I really don’t see it more than a excuse for them to f*ck on video and get away with it. I’m just losing respect for such a cool group of musicians. its very sad in my opinion.
So cleaning out the garage boxes and a good portion of my life before marriage and age 30. I’ve given away a bit so far. But I am giving away a SlaveOne with two missing panels, a TieFigher Darth Vader’s its missing part of the wing that attached to the side, a Snowspeeder missing the battery plate and a gun array, and a Broken X-Wing which I am debating on keeping and reparing myself.
Other than those nothing huge, a few Movie memorabilia packs, a number of Dinkies and Furbys I have restored and brought back into operation. Found my missing box of comics and went out and got 2 comic storage boxes to transfer them to for storage purposes.
That brought the box level down by 3. Now I have to just go thru my models and see what’s worth keeping and what heads to the recycle bin or kit bashing event? I also found my 1/133 Space Cruiser Yamato miniatures WOO HOO! Now the hard choice to build or to shrink wrap and place on eBay?
UT3 seems to have become a little more interesting with the soon to be release DM-TokyoTrainWreck which by screenshots alone look quite excellent. I am looking forward to testing this out with those Knight Saber Models the Kobra created recently.
Well I actually thought I had the forum configuration fixed so people could post in “1” forum section at our site as not to let so many spammers allowed on the other boards. However still stuck at it, and the person that help create it with me has gone off to better venues in his opinions. But I have issued out a few invites for the friends I do have.
I seem to need to get back to work so off I go and call to answer. TTYS and see some of you on steam.
The Knight Sabers Ported to UT3 Yup, there is the link to go and read up on it and leave comments and such and feedback as well. I like it for the fact that someone other than myself attempts but in this case they succeeded where I failed. But at least it has been done in part of what I have been looking toward to.
Seems like some thought was placed on and hopefully there might be some head replacements sinc ethis seems like a 1st or 2nd beta release. I hope he places in a install guide for those that UT3 Black for steam as well. That would be very handy in the readme. I’m going to see if I can help somehow since I am one the “most” avid of fans.
That and I have a friend or two that has worked on the BGC Universe as a whole. Hell, I’m still working on our Megatokyo 2040 Project for UT2004. I think it has great playability factors, but back to topic Kobra made this thru love of the characters, the fans and the game, so please show your support by posting and leaving a reply or two for him will ya?
