What Type of Genshiken Character would I be?

What Genshiken character Persona am I ?

Name: Harunobu Madarame
Location: Suioh University
Occupation: Student/tech
Interests: Genshiken, Gaming, Manga, Anime
Website: Genshiken on Facebook <— Come Visit us.

Harunobu Madarame is not the leader of the Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture. That honor goes to the mysterious “original president,” whose name and personal history was never really revealed. Madarame is however the closest thing to a driving energy behind the club. His fanboy does outdo that of any other members of the club.

A Avid fanboy of anime, manga, and doujinshi from a very young age, Madarame does at times loudly defend his 2-D complex against anyone who tries to attack it. Once he gets in a ranting mood, he can be pretty hard to stop. He’s very intelligent, but sometimes that doesn’t quite come across through his lack of social skills. Doujinshi is Madarame’s particular weakness. OH and Madarame is SO not a Sou Uke! ARGH!

GENSHIKEN HAS RETURNED!

Ok, so I’ve found out I won a 250$ Men’s clothing shopping spree from Schells WOO ME! I also just found out that since May 2012 Genshiken has returned! which is good, this is one of those few self-indulgence moments where you can say life is good and actually be truthful about it. I’m almost done decorating the section of the floor I call our Client support area. Cobwebs are up, save for one section, section left to spread around and a few odds and ends like dead zombie squirrels and mind controlled rodents.

Also those that are following me that have an interest in Star Trek Online? I am also looking for some peeps to help form The Federation of Planets “501st Flotilla” . If there is anyone interested in laying into the borg and anyone else that would stand in the way of the federation, leave a comment with your steam contact and I’ll hit you up on steam and we go from there.

Things to come before the end of the World I mean 2012.

Hey-o!
Yes, it’s me again! I’m almost fully recovered from my acute PCD, and have been talking with a few people and I can say I can’t wait for next month’s Podcast recordings session. We truly have a fantastic lineup coming up here in the next few weeks. Coming up in the next 5 months I will be attending AnimeSaltLake, dates are March 22nd and 23rd. This will be the 2nd convention and the main guest for the Convention will be FUNimation’s own Chris Rager.

Those who know his work need no list to know his work, but for those who are just getting into the anime scene? #Chris Rager has been known for his Voice Acting Talent in series such as Blue Gender, Case Closed, Black Cat, Desert Punk, Lupin III, Full Metal Alchemist to name a few. He is also in quite a number of recent video games as well of the past few yrs. Stuntman Ignition, Bloodrayne, Roadkill and most recently BORDERLANDS 2 WOO! and a plethora of others as well as lending his narrative side to advertising as well.

Also Brett Young one the US Anime Gamers on the Western US Coast who on the whole has been living abroad in Nagoya Japan and will be attending AnimeSaltLake for gaming coverage and podcasting. He does reflect upon Persona 4 and GG, and brings his A+ Game to the scene so beware! Also he’s a Gundam’s Best friend when it comes to the pilot seat and a dog fight. You can catch Brett on “Twitch TV’s Website” This proves to be one hell of a convention. I am hoping to do some live coverage on the convention as well thru our podcast channel/Google Hangout “The CyberNaut’s Hang” other than that, this is me for the here and now. Be sure to catch us on The Cybernaut’s WP Site as well. Opps, I have an incoming transmission it seems,……

“Rosenkreuz to Commander Lundberg, we have a Borg Sphere inbound on your location Sir”

“Understood Rosenkreuz”

“Lundberg to Rosenkreuz”
One to beam up………..

Anime Banzai 2012 Review

Hello everyone just got back last night from Anime Banzai 2012. It was fantastic time had by all. We took off as soon as I got home. We arrived about 5:30 checked in settled into the room went across and got our badges. I saw Dan for the 1st time since last year and the 1st words out my mouth were “Ok, where do I start assembling the Audio/Video equipment?” It was like nothing had changed, just 361 days had passed by like nothing and we were just resetting up the anime viewing rooms. We got everything set up and asked Dan if anything else was needed. So I walked down the hallway and Adam needed help setting up the Anime Banzai Merchandise Store. So I ended up folding about 400 Plus shirts for the store. Mind you I was volunteering yes, but I didn’t write down any numbers or anything, why?

It’s Banzai and some the staff needed a hand, so I lent it without anything in return. While folding shirts I got to meet with Amanda Rush, LB Bryant, and Micah Solusod as they were given the guided tour of the center. I headed back to the hotel around 10:30 pm just because my body started getting sore through the shoulders and heading down, figured time for some sleep. Next morning it was time to wake up and tackle the day, got down stairs the family was already eating breakfast, so I grabbed some grub washed it down and headed over to the con early to yes, create neko ears! I was one the early birds and snagged myself a nice light blonde material for the ears and a tan headband to accompany it with, afterwards headed back over to the hotel to drop them off after showing off a bit. The girls had already headed out and hit the game room, while my wife and oldest hit the convention hall and took in a panel or two.

While that was going on I ran in to a number of people from last year with their cosplay on and I decided to take a pic of a few the great ones. While this was happening I ran into Steve Nunez, AKA Warky T Chocobo to his friends and family, we chatted how things had been and the general chatter, he seems to build up some muscle since last year. I was impressed because I had gained 7 lbs. since the last time we spoke in person. We exchanged some ideas, nodded and enjoyed the rest of the day. I also ran into Amanda and LB while I was taking in the convention and the crowd. I then ran into Chris Patton and David Vincent and Dan Miller as they were taking in the crowd and atmosphere of Banzai, I asked if it would be ok to possibly sit and interview Chris at some point before the end of Banzai. He agreed and best of all it was on Saturday 4:30 pm. Off and on afterwards I just hung out at the anime viewing room and watched a few 1st and 2nd Episodes that had come out recently from funimation who is one the sponsors of Anime Banzai it seems. I could be wrong, but most of the anime was Aniplex/Funimantion I did however see one Manga Entertainment DVD during the weekend.

The night fell and we ended up getting some greasy pizza from a place called NYPD Pizza, well I’ll tell you, it wasn’t NY Style pizza I’m used to, the cheesy bread was awful, I’d have rather spent the $ on Little Caesar’s than NYPD Pizza, it was just that bad. During the night I wandered back over because there was a few episodes I wanted to see so I took a seat and just relaxed and then 20 mins into the show BAM a fire drill some numb nut decided it would be cool to create some more fog in the Hotel’s Lounge/Bar while they attempted to do Techno mixes of J-pop tunes. We had to evacuate the building then we’re told false alarm it was ok to go back in. Next thing I know it goes off again this time we played it smart and just closed the door. This fire drill bit went off 2 more times that night I was woken up at 12:13 am by Richard I think letting me know they were closing down the room for the night, as I wandered back to the hotel room I met up with LB Bryant and decided to just to an informal brief “hey how are ya?” conversation with my cell phone. He was enjoying the convention loves the weather and the people and fans. He’s got the smoking bug and asked what his brand was? Marlboro 720 asked him if he had any problems with the smoking range rules we have here in Utah and he had no mind to it. Follow the rules to the best you can eh? Well I wished him a pleasant evening and ended up back in the room in bed and asleep.

Next morning same routine this time however with my wife’s help I was able to don on my cosplay as Tomodachi AKA Friend from 20th Century Boys The Trilogy Movie set. We walked up and down the hall for a bit walked thru the Artist alley and only “1” person noticed me I think. Afterward a bit disheartened I went back and changed back into my normal Convention wear and spent the day mostly talking with LB and Micah off and on as we ran into each other, and I was able to walk in on Micah’s Q and A Panel and caught a small bit of him doing the “Blackstaaaaaar!” shtick which we all got a great laugh out of. There David Vincent’s panel on the Business of Voice Acting which was pretty informative I must say. Afterwards got together with family discussed dinner the girls ran back to the game room again, my wife was on her laptop doing some work related project. I remembered I had my 4:30 interview with Chris Patton and indeed I was on time and we were able to do a short but cool interview, I got your autograph that you wanted Dustin! Merry Early Christmas present bro. After the interview I headed up the hotel and relaxed for a few and also ended up cleaning a broken glass from the ground in the kitchen area in our room. I was just glad that our daughter didn’t get cut or anything. After those things kind of blurred together, I remember going to bed but not too much before though.

Sunday came, we got dressed for our final day, where we attended a Japanese Fairy Tale Panel, a Sentai Panel and last the Make and Take bead bracelet Panel. After all that we went back to the hotel I turned in our keys and we basically just came back home from an awesome weekend. I did however invite the entire guest line up to the podcast I co-host on as well. So here is to a closing of a great Anime Banzai 2012 and start planning on Anime Banzai 2013.

PreGame setup

WOO ! It’s here! The package from eBay arrived this afternoon. Fits like a glove, lets home this goes over well at Anime Banzai and that I was at least character wise one of the creative types. Also talked with Steve Nunez and he’s agreed to an interview sweet! Now if i can get a confirmation from Mr. Patton I can at least go to work knowing I have two of the 5 cooler talents at the Con this year for our podcast! OMG I have go iron!

Oct Weekend 2 Gluten free Expo

Ok, well then its Monday and a busy week it seems. My oldest daughter goes for her driver’s test here at the end of the week, before head to Anime Banzi Year five Theme: Japanese Mythos. Oldest daughter is cosplaying as Italy from Hetalia and I will admit she has put forth a lot of effort in the design of her cosplay. Mine? Oh he he he I’’ bringing a leisure suit and my black dress shoes and #### from ## ##### ##### #### that’s right not telling or showing till Anime Banzi.

The Mrs. and I attended the Gluten Free Expo, it was quite enjoyable and there was even more vendors this year than last. The pancake breakfast was provided by Granny’s Kitchen and non-gluten pancake mix. There was also Rio’s cheese Quesada’s were delicious as well especially since they used spinach tortillas for them and a lactouse free cheese.

We entered a few drawings, had a great time with my wife as we enjoyed a gluten free beer at the beer garden they had. Afterwards, and walking off the beer a wonderful time was had. We received an email from one of the vendors seems my wife won 25$ worth of products from Norflex one the cleaning vendors that was there last year, so that was pretty cool since that means we won’t have to spend much for cleaning supplies for at least a few months.

At the end of the weekend, we decided that we needed to transfer an 8mm video tape to DVD, however couldn’t find the manual. Couldn’t find the bugger anywhere, looked in the garage, searched the office, rummaged thru my folders. Nowhere could I find that stupid manual. So printed it out all 160 pages all on the operational process of a vhs to DVD machine. I thought that would have been the end of it, but no I have to find patch cords that were also lost so I have to wait till later today on the way home to pick some up so we can get this project taken care of since it’s a Girl Scout project with her troop.

That’s pretty much it for now, anything that happens between now and anime banzi will indeed posted if post worthy, till then I’m out……

Anime Banzi 2 weeks away and WARKY!

Great weekend got the system backed up, and taken care of. Oil change for uplander taken, need to place up weather stripping though, winterized the swamp cooler and made sure the vents were closed and oiled properly beforehand. Podcast recording went well, however we didn’t get the manga review taken care of like I was hoping for. Anime Banzi is now less than 2 weeks away, have to get the rest of the house and yard decorated for the season before we go.

Reconnected with an old online friend, chatted It up for bit catching up slightly and see how things have been found out his friend/manager are having the 1st child soon, exciting! I remember when we had our 1st. He’s in for such a ride though ha ha ha. Things at the studios are going well planning another movie and my friend has his 1st CD out 1st Quarter of 2013 which is exciting news as well.

Talking with him I mentioned the fact that the old podcast group I was involved with disbanded and reformed up under a new name and site altogether and mentioned we had Robert Woodhead on the show and I asked my friend if he’d like to come on and discuss a few things that are going at the studio and what to look forward to in the next year. He wants to be on and I am strongly looking for November, maybe in the middle of the month for the recording session.

Also Warky has got some really cool new tunes going. Can’t wait to hear them at Anime Banzi on Oct 20th. Proves to be quite the funny. Here is a smaple from last year’s AB 2011.

Trolling wise, no news on the frontlines, those that speak of have spoken in the past badly about me seems to have finally shut their pieholes proper like, and about time as well. People need to just grow up and move on. That being said I need to do the same as well in that regard. Lots of drama in the past seem to have finally floated away downstream. Let’s just hope no one tries to swim upstream.

ERT Ghostbuster group wise, Gizmo has tendered his resignation due to time constraints and a variety of drama issues within the group as a whole. Reason I know this is because he placed his proton pack up for sale and sold it the same day. He will be missed by many of us. I hope to still get together and design a Weapon pack of my own design rather than a standard proton pack. I’ll just have to see how things go and take one day at time on that note. I also found out recently for those Star Trek fans out there that there is someone developing a Windows 7 64 bit friendly edition of the LCARS Operating shell. So you trekkers out there can still upgrade to the latest o/s from ms and still have a SF shell to contain it.

Oct has begun as the ponds have gone but not been forgotten PLUS Anime Banzi is 19 days away !

Greetings peeps,

It’s the beginning of the fall season with the turning of the leaves as the ending of a great relationship among friends and companions. That’s right, The Doctor and the ponds parted way this last Saturday 09/29/2012. I was surprised and shocked at the end myself, no spoilers. It was really a shot to the gut though, and also the end of the midway season till The Doctor Who Christmas 2012 Special. We did get a glimpse of a recently familiar face from a few episodes ago in the Christmas Special preview. The Ponds/Williams will be missed as they are missed by The Raggedy Man on his Wife as they travel thru time and space.

Anime Banzi is around the corner on Oct 19th in Layton Utah, and I’ve already got my cosplay planned and 99% completed. This year plans to be an awesome one. Peeps from Ani.me will be there Amanda Rush and L.B. Bryant doing several panels. Chris Patton Voice Actor as well as television actor, been seen in NCIS, he is also the American dubbed Van in Gun X Swords, and My Personal Fave ikki from AirGears Anime Series as well as doing a number of Video Game Character acting as well. David Vincent Well Known Voice actor in the anime industry, Micah Solusod another recently famous Voice Actor has been in FMA: Sacred Star of Milos and number of recent anime series and OVAs will be on hand in a number of the panels that will be at . Anime Banzi Tickets and Hotel Rooms are still available, come on down or up and check out this great Convention.

A few reviews are up and coming as well. Black Mesa and Ravage both available on steam. One being freeware build on the source engine and the 2nd being for 2Play Studios in beta at the moment so review will be in posted when I can get to it. Although from the screenshots the engine looks beautiful, the renders are absolutely gorgeous complimented by the textures that have been applied. Also on the gaming side of things, Bruce is working on a few models at the moment and we should be seeing some excellent shots of his work on these models very soon at our studio WP site as well as our website and Indeed.

Personally on my own end of things, my father’s shoulder is on the mend for the time being. The Dr. says it won’t be fully mobile till about march roughly since it takes 6 months of healing for the surgery to be a full on success. He’ll have at least 4 more visits between now and the end of November. I wished I could be back there helping out him and my mother both till the shoulder was fully recovered. My brother is however a few hours away and can be there if necessary I’m sure. Plans for renovation in the house are being discussed as well. There is talk on painting, switching people’s rooms, disassembling the office and moving it down stairs, which would be a good thing. I could finally G+ Hangout / Video Cast on my YT as well with some of the podcast crew I work with at our Cybernauts Podcast WP Site.

And why can’t we have more of this instead of Bullying, or Ragging or Trolling? A Question to leave feedback on I’d say.
